Consider the landfill in your city. Dumping the unwanted trash yourself might take a little extra time and effort, but the end results can be a lot more affordable. And all you really need is a truck.
Most of the local (city owned) landfill’s will provide a free pass to dump your trash in it! Yeah that’s right, FREE! There is no charge to you if you are a local resident; all you need to do is take your license and proof of residency. Dumping trash is simply getting easier and easier as the years come along.
So what is the general process of getting rid of your own trash instead of calling some of those well known (really) expensive hauling companies? Get a truck, load it with your trash, take it to your own cities’ landfill- take your license with you and proof of residency- and you are almost certain to get your trash dumped with no hassle.
If it does not happen to be for free, it will surely be a lot cheaper than what a hauling company will charge you. You might also find other landfill’s in your area that happen to be owned by the same people who will charge you a handsome fee to take away your trash and dump it for you.
It could save you a lot of money if you call the landfill before you make a trip to it first. Often times landfill’s that are not owned by the city will charge you way more than what the city charges If you even get charged by the city. Remember call and ask first, don’t just go to any landfill.

Be aware that this option to go with dumping it yourself is only better when you only have a truck load or two of trash and you have the time to make both trips.
