Add some rugs into the room with more color in them. If you’re fixing up a small space you should have one rug that is large in the room. Trying only small rugs in the room will make the room appear more chopped up.

Try avoiding bulky furniture in a smaller room since it may just make it more crowded. Placing a bright colored area rug in a smaller room will give the illusion of a larger space. You don’t have to spend a fortune to change your room around to make it seem larger. Just add a splash of color like art work on the walls and also a cozy area rug and you’re set.
