Always stay away from red meat such as beef and choose only lean meat. If you are a steak lover choose a lean cut and eat portions not larger than your clenched fist. Choose fish with less fat and buy them fresh instead of canned. Grill or broil fish to get rid of any residual fat. Choose white meat chicken instead of dark meat and the same thing goes for turkey too. Avoid chicken broth which can be very fatty. Egg eaters should avoid the yolk and consume only the whites.

Go in for whole grain pastas which taste better. In the same way choose whole grain breads made from whole grain wheat flour instead of refined white bread.
